"Some Incidents and Observations on writing a Josefsdorf family book"
Dave Dreyer is devoted to family history research with an emphasis on ethnic Germans in the Hungarian province of the Banat. His research has been published as the Banat Family History Series. Dave has been recognized for his contributions to Banat family history research by the AKdFF.

"Banater Family Tree with Deutsch-Zerne"
Mara Henderson focuses her research on the Donauschwaben of Deutsch-Zerne who immigrated to Ohio. She also designs and maintains several web sites including one for the village of Deutsch-Zerne.

"Comparing settlement conditions on the private landowners domain versus the government sponsored Banat and Batschka"
Henry A. Fischer is active as a genealogical researcher and writer focusing on the Danube Swabians. He is the author of Children of the Danube and a trilogy Remember to Tell the Children. The last book of the trilogy, Emigrants and Exiles, is due later this year.

"Early DS Genealogy - before 1750 - and AKdFF"
Günter Junkers is active with several historical and genealogical societies, he also lectures on computer and internet genealogy. Günter is the editor and co-founder of a German language magazine, Computergenealogie, and started the German Society of Computer genealogy in 1989.

"After the disbanding of death camps"
John M. Michels has traveled to many reunions, forums and Worlwide meetings in Yugoslavia, Romania, Germany and the U.S. He has worked extensively editing and translating the work of others and has published a book, Josefalva, recording conversations collected in Romania.

"Deutsch-Ungarische-Kalendar-Lists"
Karen Dalton Preston is an active member of the genealogical community and a family researcher. She has worked with Dave Dreyer helping to transcribe index and edit the St. Hubert and Heufeld marriage indexes and the Deutsch-Ungarishe Kalender subscription lists.

"Hungarian Village Finder Tool (HVF)"
Eileen Lund-Johnson trains other researchers at the local Family History Library Oakdale, Minnesota. She also maintains several web sites for genealogists in that area. Even though Eileen is only one-quarter Donauschwaben she finds this genealogy research the most rewarding. The sharing, education, etc., on the Banat list is certainly one of the best examples of cooperative genealogy to be found.

"Barefoot in the Rubble"
Elizabeth Walter will discuss the writing of her book. Elizabeth tells a childhood story of survival; survival of physical suffering and emotional pain that took place after World War II. In 1998 Ms. Walter received the prestigious American Legion Auxiliary 1998 Woman of the Year award for sharing her personal story of survival in the face of physical and emotional suffering, by writing the book "Barefoot in the Rubble."
